ALLERGIES & FOOD SENSITIVITIES
Some of the items on our menu are listed as gluten-sensitive or vegan-friendly. Although none of the ingredients in the gluten-sensitive items contain gluten and none of the ingredients in the vegan-friendly items contain eggs or dairy, we can NOT ensure that they are completely gluten-free and/or vegan. We use many ingredients, such as wheat, eggs, milk, and cheese in our kitchens and bakery. We can NOT ensure that there is no cross contamination between our gluten-sensitive and vegan-friendly items with our other baked goods, sandwiches, etc. Similarly, although many of our items do not contain nut ingredients, we can NOT ensure that they are completely nut-free due to the risk of nut contamination from other items in our bakery and kitchens.

Thank you for considering PAVIA for your next event! Our Catering Administrative Offices are open Monday to Friday from 9am until 4:30pm (AST).  We can be reached at 902-407-4008 ext.1.

DELIVERIES                        
When placing a delivery order, please understand that due to traffic and other events outside of Pavia’s control, please allow for a fifteen minute grace period on either end of all deliveries and pick-ups.

ORDERING                        
To place an order please call our catering office at 902-407-4008 ext.1, or email your order with details to: events@paviagallery.com  Please note, your order is not official until you receive confirmation from us in writing via email. When the client confirms the intake via email the client is also agreeing to all of our Ordering Guidelines.

CUT-OFF TIMES                        
To ensure that you receive the best service possible we recommend booking well in advance. With that said, we are always willing to work with your busy schedule and we will do our best to provide top quality catering that meets your deadlines.

  • For Breakfast/Morning Caterings and/or Luncheon Caterings: Orders for all Breakfast/Morning Caterings and/or Luncheons must be placed 72 hours before your event and are subject to availability. All intakes must be confirmed no later that 36 hours prior to the event start time.

  • For Cocktail Caterings : Cocktail style caterings must be placed three (3) weeks in advance of your event and are subject to availability. All intakes must be confirmed no later that 72 hours prior to the event start time.

FEES  
Set-Up / Clean-Up: 
Any catering that takes place at either the AGNS or Halifax Central Library will be subject to a minimum fee which will be applied to cover the delivery, set-up & clean-up of the catering.  

Delivery: Depending on where you or your event is located, our delivery fees vary. Generally, we will charge to deliver the catering to you and set up everything to our standards. Likewise, if you would prefer we can always schedule a time to pick everything up.  Please contact us for information specific to your event. 

Missing/Lost Items: Any catering items that are missing at the pick-up will be the responsibility of the client. Clients must return missing items to one of our PAVIA locations within 2 business days of the catering or the client will be billed for the items.

Servers: If your event requires servers, or an experienced barista to prepare a la carte items at our espresso bar during one of your events, we charge $24/hour per server. Cocktail-style events may require a minimum amount of servers according to PAVIA’s serving standards. For events where PAVIA is supplying alcohol, we are pleased to provide professional and experience bartenders. Events that require servers are subject to a 3 hours minimum charge. In your event that your catering runs beyond the scheduled time, labour charges will be updated to reflect this increase.

Service Charge: All caterings are subject to a 16% service charge.

CANCELLATIONS  
For all caterings less than $1,000 PAVIA will charge a 25% deposit to confirm your event booking. The remaining balance is to be paid after your event is complete.

  • If your event is cancelled greater than one month (30 days) prior to the date of your event, we will give you a refund of your deposit, minus the 16% service charge of the entire intake.

  • If your event is cancelled between one month (29 days) and one week (7 days) prior to your event, we will refund you 50% of your deposit, minus the 16% service charge of the entire intake.

  • If your event is cancelled less than 36 hours prior to your event, you will not be entitled to a refund.

For all caterings greater than $1,000 PAVIA will charge a 75% deposit to confirm your event booking. The remaining balance is to be paid after your event is complete.

  • If your event is cancelled greater than one month (30 days) prior to the date of your event, we will give you a refund of your deposit, minus the 16% service charge of the entire intake.

  • If your event is cancelled between one month (29 days) and one week (7 days) prior to your event, we will refund you 50% of your deposit, minus the 16% service charge of the entire intake.

  • If your event is cancelled less than one week (6 days) prior to your event, you will not be entitled to a refund.

EXCLUSIVITY  
Please be aware that the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia has an exclusive agreement with PAVIA - Catering for all catering needs. Any food or drink brought into the Gallery that has not been provided by or purchased through PAVIA - Catering may be subject to an equal or greater charge to the client at a the clients expense.
