Our Espresso Bar & Café is patterned after a European/Italian-style espresso bar. We have a small selection of menu items, but produce them with exceptional quality.
We have a variety of panini that we make from scratch, using as many fresh, local ingredients as possible. They are grilled on artisanal sourdough bread that we bake on-site. Our Soup of the Day is always wheat-free, dairy-free, and meat-free, and is made on-site using fresh local vegetables. We also have a beautiful cheese board that pairs well with the Nova Scotia wines and craft beers on offer.
All of our baked goods are also made on-site in our bakery. Our wonderful bakers meticulously create everything using the best ingredients we can source. Follow us on Twitter to get a sneak peek of our daily muffins, cupcakes, and other treats.
Our drip coffees, including the Pilot Boat Medium Roast Blend and the Italian Dark Roast Blend, are roasted locally and are only available at PAVIA Gallery Espresso Bar & Café. We import our espresso from a micro-roastery in Florence, Italy - in fact, we are the only café in North America to do so. A number of our staff trained in the art of espresso, cappuccino and caffè latte at the Scuola di Caffè in Florence.
Whether it’s a traditional Italian Cappuccino with a Ricciarelli first thing in the morning, a Nova Scotia Panino with a cup of Roasted Red Pepper and Chickpea Soup at lunch, or a glass of a Borgo Scopeto Chianti Classico later in the day, we hope that you will come and experience our little piece of Europe located in the village of Herring Cove and in Downtown Halifax.
