We believe that as a local, independent business, we have a social responsibility to leverage our success and act as a conduit for good. As part of this commitment, we work with local charities who work hard to make Halifax a better place!
Giving back and community support is one of the pillars of PAVIA. Most recently we raised money for the Chebucto Family Centre located in Spryfield by acting as a hub to gather donations for this organization. In total we raised over $7,400.00 for the Centre and also helped to make lasting connections in the community in order to further support the work that they do. As well, over the year, many PAVIA employees have plunged into the North Atlantic ocean on January 1st in support of the YWCA. We’ve raised money by running in the Bluenose Marathon. Employees who have worked at caterings have donated their time to deliver left over catering items to local homeless shelters. We have taken part in charity runs for Leave Out Violence and have helped support the IWK Foundation. We have organized fundraising evenings that ranged from an intimate evening with celebrated Canadian Tenor Richard Margison, to an up-and-coming Halifax crooner!
