PAVIA is pleased to present an evening of SPANISH Art, Food, Wine, Flamenco Guitar & Dance happening at PAVIA at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. We are visiting Spanish works of art from the permanent collection of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia!
Flamenco Dancer Maria Osende will be not only be explaining what Flamenco dance but will delight us with 2 separate performances! Along with Maria, celebrated Flamenco guitarist Daniel MacNeil will be playing throughout the evening.
We have three wonderful wine selections courtesy of The Port by NSLC which include:
La Bascula Catalan Eagle Organic White Wine, Terra de Alta Catalan
Montecillo Reserva 2010, Rioja
Campo Viejo Gran Reserva 2010, Rioja
We have four Spanish-inspired food selections which include:
First: Tapa Duo Queso con Membrillo and Salmorejo - a quince paste served on housemade crostini served with slivered Manchego cheese. The Salmorejpo is a chilled tomato soup
Second: Haddock al Ajillo - butter-poached halibut topped with spanish inspried prices served with a selection of PAVIA preserves
Third Dish: Pork Roulade - Charcouterie Ratinoud Charizo and chef -selected Noggins Farm's seasonal produce
- Spanish Dulce made by PAVIA's incredible bakers! - marsala wine-soaked figs gelato with traditional sweet Spanish biscuit/cookie
The evening will be hosted by PAVIA owners Victoria Foulger & Christopher Webb and starts at 5pm in the main foyer of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
